Recycling is an important tool in our lives; it can significantly help our Earth and surroundings. Dr. Hawkins has been the head of the club for three years now, and her main goal for the club is to spread awareness of recycling and how good it is for the environment and for making the Earth healthier.
Members of the club help us recycle paper, cardboard, plastics and empty aluminum cans. They ask students not to put food or candy wrappers within the bins nor to put glass or metal in the bins. They come every A block on ABC club days to take away the bins, and count which classroom has collected the most recyclable materials. The class with the greatest number of recycled items in their bins wins bragging rights until the next time the recycling is collected. Recycling takes little thought, and less than two seconds to do. So, take the second and help our world and your favorite class win bragging rights for the week!
